In the wake of yet another tragic mass shooting in Allen, TX, many of the American people have chosen to deny the shooter’s motives and revert to conspiracy. Instead of facing the fact that a racist, neo-Nazi, incel, brutally murdered numerous people, they are instead claiming that it is a government op, he was a plant, or that he wasn’t a Nazi at all. I mean, Latinos are brown, so they can’t be racist, right? My purpose here is to show that there are in fact many neo-Nazi Latinos out there and that Mauricio Garcia was one.
The Texas Mall Shooting
The unidentified official also said Garcia was wearing a patch of an acronym for “Right Wing Death Squad,” which is reportedly popular with right-wing extremists, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists. In addition, he had numerous Nazi tattoos on his body and had a known history on his Russian social media of posting racist material. Bellingcat did a review of his Russian social media, which he used as a sort of journal, and was able to use receipts and photos to timestamp and track many of his activities. The presence of old photos, receipts, etc, helps prove that this is, in fact, his account. https://www.bellingcat.com/news/2023/05/09/tracing-the-odnoklassniki-profile-of-the-texas-mall-shooter/
The Hill
The slideshow shows pictures of Garcia and his social media. The evidence is clear and direct and contrary to the most common argument, there are PLENTY of nazi Latinos.
The thing is, people, especially white Americans don’t realize that racism is a deep and historic problem in Latin America, and many Latinos are in fact very racist. There is a deep and complicated history behind this, and I don’t have the time or energy to expand on that in this blog, so I put the following examples below just to show that the shooter was not a one-off or exception.
